Was sceptical about buying this off my sister in law. She said it was too powerful and scared her. With a little practice I overcame her fear and love it. As an outdoor person I have ridden allot of atvs which helps to learn how to use an e-bike. As a 65+ it helps ride the hills and allow you to keep going but still rest if you need to. Didn’t like biking before but now with the assist and the throttle I go anywhere without barely breaking a sweat.

I ordered 2 of these bikes. Received them in less than 5 days. They're awesome! Easy to assemble, lots of power! Can't wait to get some miles on.....

The Hitway BK6M fits nearly all of my requirements. The step through design makes mounting easy; the motor and battery are powerful; the ride is smooth on the 3" wide tires; the Shimano shifting system smoothly shifts gears; the display monitor is easy to read; the handlebar and seat post easily adjust to create a comfortable riding position. I appreciate the bike's power but it unevenly provides that power in pedal assist mode 1. It provides minor surges; in between the surges, there is little power. I can get used to that foible, but there is a more serious problem with the brakes. They grab and partially release, grab and partially release, which is disconcerting. The brakes feel like they are going to seize up, and then they let go. This issue, which happens with both the front and rear brakes, started to manifest itself after about 8 miles on my very first ride.
